to LJ!

Gosh, I have been trying to create a LJ account but the usernames I have chosen are either used already, or they do not have enough different characters. So exasperating! If LJ can accept Adzz, why can't they accept happytreefrenz or hapitreefrenz?!?

I do not know what is wrong.

I just returned the cable box set to Starhub. Yes, I have to personally travel all the way to PS to return the set - this is what happens when you want to cancel subscription, you have to make a conscious effort, if you do not return within 7 days of your billing date, it is not considered...
We had our annual media event this afternoon and instructions from above was to mingle and interact with the clients since we are 'client servicing' executives.

Well, in the two months I have been there, if I was not involved in the trainings a week back, the clients I have interacted with could be counted with my fingers. Because of the trainings, I could at least identify and recognise some of the people I met today.

Anyway if you know me, I am not the PRsy type of person. I am not comfortable at parties and when I answer quizzes regarding parties, I would always choose the 'You... (more)

Today was yet another pigging out session with the gals. Went to Spaggedis (as usual, I can't spell it right) at Paragon. Recommended: smoked salmon pizza. We then proceeded for deserts at Bakarzin, where I had the most delicious desert. The coupe cheesecake beat Bakarzin's signature warm chocolate cake hands down. It tastes like icecream cheesecake and it melts in your mouth. Gosh, I am yearning for it now! And I can definitely eat the entire thing by myself, unlike other heavy deserts, where I can only consume half at the... (more)

came out of working after all.

At least now it's easy for meet-ups with my JC buddies. It used to be so difficult to get the NUS engineering gal out and hence, we would only meet every holiday.

It's much better now, we can actually arrange an outing one day before.

Oh ya, QJ who has been away backpacking for a few weeks (lucky her!) came back this week to *guess what*? Have her wisdom teeth extracted. The pain was interfering with her trip and she came back specially before flying off again on Monday.

I am quite upset that my peak period is in Dec, when everyone is off for... (more)

Sometimes, I really wish there is an option on blogdrive that allows only designated friends to read certain entries.

There are some things I want to say but I cannot, or I do not want to put it here for all to see. It is at these times that I wish we were all on livejournal.

Wedding Bells

Nope, not mine. My colleague's having a wedding lunch this Sat! Hmmm, we were discussing how much in ang pow we should give. I know that the 'market price' for a wedding dinner would be around $80, but a lunch reception? Luckily I do not have to buy any clothes, I will just borrow my sis' dress and wear that, can't afford to spend anymore - with the splurge on the hair and the flowers (which I finally managed to order today). The flowers cost more than the hair, yes, I still cannot believe that my friend would actually spend that much on flowers on a guy, and an ex for that matter. But at... (more)

Horrified Me

I was horrified when the hairdresser took off the curlers on my hair. It was bad, real bad. Like maggi mee.

Thankfully, after a wash and blow-dry, it's still passable. But nowhere near the look I had (which I loved) last time. Boo hoo! She kept trying to convince me that it's very nice and all, but I was in no state to listen to her. Could only nod and smile politely, as usual.

Yes, I have opted for the perm against the 'bond' (not rebond, cuz according to rizzy, re-bond can only be used if I had straightened my hair before). I had gone for the safer, cheaper and less time-consuming... (more)

SATC Woes

I forgot to bring my earphones back from office on Friday. This really hindered my watching of SATC. I have to lower down the volume whenever Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and especially Samantha is making out on the screen, lest my dad thinks I am watching porn LOL

My grandma decided to take a peep at what I was watching on my lappie and was I glad that it was not some steamy bedroom scene.

Note to self: always remember the earphones on Friday.

lugging a heavy bag and a laptop from City Hall mrt all the way to Purple Pots at Citylink Mall only to meet with a closed door. Am I in Perth? Why does a shop in Singapore close so early? Purple Pots closes at 7pm! I do not like to walk along Citylink especially when I am alone. The walk seems so long and lonely. Urghh!

I am helping my friend who is away backpacking somwhere in Asia to get flowers. Had wanted to go on Monday but since the flowers have to be delivered on Wed, I thought I better go today in case they can order the pure red tulips (which my friend has specifically asked for)... (more)

My dad is so sweet.

I can never appreciate him enough.

He knew that Rizzy was leaving on a Thur and on that particular Thur night, he called me. I guess he's worried about me.

It turned out that Rizzy left only on the following Mon.

So he called me again the next Monday night.

Yesterday, I asked dad where I can buy prepaid phone cards around my neighbourhood and when I came back today, he gave me this prepaid card he bought at NTU. Heh, I actually bought one myself too. =)

We do not have the "Dad, I love you" type of relationship, but I am always comforted by the fact... (more)
