Wedding Bells

Nope, not mine. My colleague's having a wedding lunch this Sat! Hmmm, we were discussing how much in ang pow we should give. I know that the 'market price' for a wedding dinner would be around $80, but a lunch reception? Luckily I do not have to buy any clothes, I will just borrow my sis' dress and wear that, can't afford to spend anymore - with the splurge on the hair and the flowers (which I finally managed to order today). The flowers cost more than the hair, yes, I still cannot believe that my friend would actually spend that much on flowers on a guy, and an ex for that matter. But at least the flowers are pretty.

My sis is getting married too! The boyfriend proposed on her bdae! So I will be one of the bridesmaids - my first time.

I am into turtlenecks these days. Bought my third one today, gosh, I really should quit spending so much, if not I would never get to Perth next year. Fur and I saw this "My boyfriend is out of town" tee at Topshop, so apt for me, and for her soon. She is so 'xiao nu ren' nowadays, 'you all' should see how sweet she looks when she talks about HY heh.

The prepaid card that I bought lags while the one my dad bought has been used up. $9 for 10mins of talktime! The card he is using costs only 3c/min, peanuts compared to mine. So it's better that he calls me, but it's still quite sad that I can't call him when I feel like to.

I have blogged so much in the past week, so proud of myself haha.

Horrified Me

I was horrified when the hairdresser took off the curlers on my hair. It was bad, real bad. Like maggi mee.

Thankfully, after a wash and blow-dry, it's still passable. But nowhere near the look I had (which I loved) last time. Boo hoo! She kept trying to convince me that it's very nice and all, but I was in no state to listen to her. Could only nod and smile politely, as usual.

Yes, I have opted for the perm against the 'bond' (not rebond, cuz according to rizzy, re-bond can only be used if I had straightened my hair before). I had gone for the safer, cheaper and less time-consuming choice.

I just hope that if I wash it a few more times, it would be more natural. *cross my fingers*

SATC Woes

I forgot to bring my earphones back from office on Friday. This really hindered my watching of SATC. I have to lower down the volume whenever Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and especially Samantha is making out on the screen, lest my dad thinks I am watching porn LOL
My grandma decided to take a peep at what I was watching on my lappie and was I glad that it was not some steamy bedroom scene.
Note to self: always remember the earphones on Friday.

It's no joke

lugging a heavy bag and a laptop from City Hall mrt all the way to Purple Pots at Citylink Mall only to meet with a closed door. Am I in Perth? Why does a shop in Singapore close so early? Purple Pots closes at 7pm! I do not like to walk along Citylink especially when I am alone. The walk seems so long and lonely. Urghh!

I am helping my friend who is away backpacking somwhere in Asia to get flowers. Had wanted to go on Monday but since the flowers have to be delivered on Wed, I thought I better go today in case they can order the pure red tulips (which my friend has specifically asked for) if they do not have them. For once, I should have procratinated. At least the walk back to the mrt station was made easier with stops at Six, Mphosis, MPH and Breadtalk.

After hearing me train for the 8th session today, my colleague said that I have the tendency to say 'You all...you all...". She told me this during the break and when training resumed, I had to conciously remember to not go 'You all..." again. But I just cannot! And the worse thing was, when I blurted out "you all..", I just looked at my colleague and started laughing. You all can imagine the look on the trainees' faces haha! When I start giggling, I can't stop. During the school days, I always had to stop myself from thinking of stuff during flag-raising. Cuz if I remember funny things, I would just snigger. And when I try to stop myself, I would look like I am suffering from a fit.

Dad

My dad is so sweet.

I can never appreciate him enough.

He knew that Rizzy was leaving on a Thur and on that particular Thur night, he called me. I guess he's worried about me.

It turned out that Rizzy left only on the following Mon.

So he called me again the next Monday night.

Yesterday, I asked dad where I can buy prepaid phone cards around my neighbourhood and when I came back today, he gave me this prepaid card he bought at NTU. Heh, I actually bought one myself too. =)

We do not have the "Dad, I love you" type of relationship, but I am always comforted by the fact that my dad is ever so understanding (he is very supportive of my r/s with Rizzy), bubbly, funny and doting. Not forgetting crappy (Now you know where I inherited my traits from).

I called Australia just now using my new purchase. However, we faced a lag. He could only hear what I said 3 seconds after my words are spoken. It's quite funny, it sounds like we were playing a pirated vcd.
